Learning with Educatio
Our current research project is the digital learning assistant Pepper. Pepper, the humanoid robot, explains rules and supports us in teaching and presentations (for example, by asking questions or explaining the rule with a concrete example), which leads to more motivating interaction from the students.
Humans have learned to quickly assess other people at first contact (friend or foe). Shortly after this evaluation, a reaction follows, but attention significantly wanes again. In human-robot interaction, it’s different: our feelings suggest it must be something human (language, eyes, gestures), while our minds recognize that it is not human.
Research projects
This occurs in a quasi-oscillating loop in the mind, and we stare at the robot, either completely fascinated or somewhat irritated. The brain switches to high relevance when absorbing information, and thus everything Pepper says goes directly into long-term memory without delay. We are currently researching this learning effect with Pepper.

Our parent company Nexius has been offering driving school courses since 2012. These will continue to be a focus of our strategic direction in the future. Dreiv is the first fully digital self-learning offering for German driving training, also available in English, Modern Arabic, Russian and Turkish.
Dreiv enables independent learning and practice, all of this in a completely interactive way, with videos, illustrations and a variety of tasks. Dreiv not only prepares the driving students for the test with the test questions, but also imparts much deeper knowledge and skills. With Dreiv you get to know real traffic situations - not just theoretically, because our experts observe both the changes in learning habits and the legal framework of driving training.
Our team in Germany consists of former driving instructors and driving school employees, supported by experts, lecturers and educators.
